White Pizza

Yield:  8 Slices; Serving Size:  1 Slice

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 16 oz ready-made pizza dough
  • 1 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 7 fresh basil leaves, chopped in strips
  • 3 Tablespoons Asiago Cheese, shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.   Spray a large pizza pan with cooking spray.  Remove pizza dough from the refrigerator.
  • Mix ricotta cheese, minced garlic, red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning.  Set aside.
  • Place pizza dough on baking sheet and spread with your fingers until dough is ¼ inch thick.
  • Spread ricotta cheese mixture over dough.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over ricotta mixture.  Sprinkle asiago cheese over ricotta cheese.
  • Spread fresh basil leave strips around on top of cheese.
  • Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.  Let cool for 2 minutes.  Slice into eight even slices.
