Monica Nyman

Monica Nyman is a Nutrition Educator for the St. Louis District Dairy Council, managing 27 counties in Illinois. Monica works out of the Bloomington, IL office.

Monica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences/Dietetics from Western Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Illinois State University and is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian.

Her background includes experience in diabetes education and program management, surgical and non-surgical weight loss counseling and also community education. Before joining the team at the St. Louis District Dairy Council, Monica worked as a Wellness Center Supervisor and Diabetes Education Program Manager at Decatur Memorial Hospital. 

Monica enjoys traveling and being active with family and friends.  Her favorite activities include listening to live music and doing anything outdoors including running, swimming, hiking and gardening.  The most rewarding part of my job is working on a daily basis with my territory contacts and being able to provide them with new resources or nutrition education materials.  I also enjoy working with dairy farmers and being out on the dairy farms!
