Healthy Teeth, Healthy Me

February is right around the corner, and it's also National Children's Dental Health Month – a month dedicated to reminding students how to keep their smiles healthy.

St. Louis District Dairy Council is excited to help school nurses reach students with tips on building strong, healthy teeth for a lifetime. We are offering a Healthy Teeth, Healthy Me resource kit that includes a colorful poster to decorate your office, handouts for students, and itty bitty envelopes to give to students who lose a tooth at school.

Requests will be accepted through January 14, 2022. Complete the order form below to order this resource today. If you are a nurse supervisor and would like to request kits for all schools in your district, please contact us at Resources are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

Childhood is the most important time to build strong bones and teeth. If kids don't get the nutrients they need, they put their current and future dental health at risk.

The nutrients found in dairy foods, such as calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and vitamin D, support the development of healthy teeth and oral tissue. Three servings every day of dairy plus plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains set the stage for healthy smiles.
