Jill Williams is a Nutrition Educator managing 34 counties in Illinois out of the Springfield office. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition from Southern Illinois University and her Master's in Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She is a registered and licensed dietitian.
Jill has spent most of her career working in the school nutrition arena. Before joining the SLDDC team, she was a Regional Dietitian for Chartwells, covering school accounts in six states, including Chicago Public Schools. She also worked as a Child Nutrition Education Specialist in Texas, implementing federal and state child nutrition requirements with school districts.
Jill currently serves as Chair for the School Nutrition Services Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Jill was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. She loves spending time with her husband and young daughter, along with travel, cooking, and being active outside. The most rewarding part of her job is the opportunity to work with schools to promote healthy eating both inside and outside of the cafeteria.
