FOOD MODELS FOR PURCHASE
Food Models: For General Audiences – Life-size cardboard photographs of 200 commonly-eaten foods. They are an ideal tool for teaching nutrition and complement the 2005 Dietary Guidelines and the Mypyramid.gov food guidance system.

EXHIBITS FOR LOAN

Dairy Foods....Your Ticket to Good Health, Convenience and Fitness

3-panel exhibit featuring the many benefits dairy brings to an active lifestyle. Reproducible black-line master “Think Your Drink” is included for handouts.

Cover the Bases
3-panel exhibit highlighting milk, cheese and yogurt as tasty ways for kids to meet their calcium needs. Reproducible black-line masters included for handouts.

Table Top Displays include 3 panels (3x3x2) mounted on folding exhibit boards. While there is no loan fee, the borrower is responsible for returning the exhibit to the Dairy Council office by the date agreed upon at the time of loan. A charge of $600 for failure to return the exhibit/returning a damaged exhibit will be assessed.

High 5 for a Healthy You
A lively upbeat video featuring teens discussing food choices using the Food Guide Pyramid, along with the importance of physical activity.Activity master sheet included.

Osteoporosis Prevention: Food & Fitness for Strong Bones
A program for adults that outlines the importance of a diet rich in calcium and Vitamin D, along with regular exercise and medical therapies, for the prevention of osteoporosis,

Cold is Cool
This school milk handling video covers the 3 critical control points in serving fresh, cold, high quality milk in a food service setting: receiving, storage and service. Great for an in-service program!

Serving It Safe
Video program outlining food safety issues for food service personnel. Topics include the importance of hand washing, temperature tracking and personal injury prevention.

It Takes More than Books
A review of the benefits of serving school breakfast outside of the cafeteria, including increased student productivity and improved classroom performance. Breakfast in the Classroom, Grab-n-Go service, and Breakfast Served after First Period are highlighted.

Presentation highlights blood pressure facts and the role of the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) diet.

Presentation outlines children’s health and the obesity epidemic. Learn about positive tools to grow healthier children.

Calcium-It’s Not Just for Kids
Presentation geared for adults dispelling the myth that calcium is only for kids. The slides highlight calcium as a super nutrient in building better bodies.
